MOOG was also able to extend its market leadership in Austria. Two MBI 180-1,7/S with state-of-the-art technological features were delivered to the Austrian Highway department ASFINAG. Designed to meet the demanding requirements of the customer these two units are more than flexible in their operation.
With 18 m platform length and the use of the 2 m platform extension a horizontal reach of 20 m is possible on the 1.7 m wide platform. Having a payload of 800 kg the use of several accessory equipments is for example: hydraulic telescopic lift with a working height of 8 m, scaffolds, a pier inspection basket with 100 m lowering depth etc. The installed loading crane with a payload of 420 kg at maximum reach makes the hoisting of tools and material onto the platform extremely so easy - even with sound barrieres of 5.5 m.
The overcrossing height of the sound barriers is adjustable and - as with all other functions - is controlled by the radio remote control. This enables an easy erection procedure even on difficult to observe areas. A 27 kVA Diesel Generator Set is provides a sufficient power supply on the platform.
