Our company is situated in the township Deggenhausertal near Lake Constance in the south of Germany and in the center of Europe. Easily reached from airports at Friedrichshafen, Zurich (Switzerland), Munich or Stuttgart.

All our design and manufacturing capacities are centralized in one headquarters. This makes communication between the departments quick and easy. Furthermore communication with our branch offices in the USA (Virginia) and Hong Kong flows effortlessly.

Know-how combined with state of the art equipment are the basis for efficient and customized design and production. The MOOG team consists of 50 highly trained specialists, most of them having completed their apprenticeship training at MOOG.

Founded and built

Beginning in 1980, starting small, courage and initiative drove him to build a business enterprise, which he pushed into a worldwide business of outstanding reputation. His fascination was to find solutions for under-bridge inspection and specialty-type construction. Countless innovations and patents showed his willingness for creative thinking. His technical know-how, his keen sense of the market’s needs and his ability to motivate his employees led him to become the world’s market leader for under-bridge inspection within 25 years. Alfons Moog had a life that was shaped by drive, inventive talent and single-mindedness.

On August 16, 2006, MOOG’s founder and general manager Alfons Moog died in Grenoble, France in a tragic accident. His wife Rita Moog and his daughter Christine Moog, will be continuing his life work to build on his dream with the active support of the very experienced MOOG team.

It all started back on the 30th of January 1980 when Alfons MOOG designed, built and merchandised a timber hauler and lumber jack machines for the wood industry.
